An Obituary
It is with deep regret and sadness we report the passing to the Grand Lodge above of Brother Ian ‘Faither’ Macpherson MBE. Bro. Ian was a Past Master of The Prince’s (Glasgow) 607 and had visited Rosslyn St. Clair on a number of occasions bringing with him coach loads of Brethren from 607 and 275, The Bridgeton and Glasgow Shamrock and Thistle Lodge. Many Rosslyn members have fond memories of these occasions with Bro. Ian acting as MC and leading the whole company in enthusiastic harmony entertainment. Ian is seen here with Bro. Alan Henderson PM on one of his visits to Rosslyn St. Clair
Bro. Ian ‘Faither’ Macpherson was an enthusiastic and highly respected member of the Craft who will be sorely missed by all who knew him; a true gentleman and Brother.
He was an accomplished Burns recitalist and a Past President of the famous Bridgeton Burns Club, and was latterly made an Honorary President. Both the Craft and the Scottish Burns circuit have lost a legend. May he Rest in Peace
