Sunday 29 October and the culmination of a long planned visit of Brethren and partners from Lodge of Three Graces 408 in Yorkshire. We have hosted visitors from Yorkshire on several occasions in the past so we knew that when a coach load of 29 arrived they would be determined to enjoy themselves – and they did, on one of the worst days of rain in an already very wet Autumn! Unfortunately a number of the Rosslyn team were either unwell or unavoidably unable to assist so we were only two for hosting the party but in what can only be a true Yorkshire Masonic tradition, some of he ladies pitched in to help with preparing the refreshments! Their assistance was very much appreciated. Our presentation about Rosslyn Chapel was very well received and prompted a number of questions until it was time for everyone to depart for the tour of the Chapel.
Lunch was waiting for our visitors when they returned to the Lodge and there was a little time left for some lighthearted banter between us before the party left for the long drive back to Yorkshire, with promises to spread the word about our services throughout their Province. To that end our group photo is to be posted on the West Riding web page! We wish our Yorkshire Brethren every success in that venture.
